Deborah Lipoma has spent over 25 years working in public libraries in many different capacities: cataloger, technical services manager, IT project manager, and currently as a reference librarian at Santa Cruz Public Libraries.  She has written and edited books on database searching, and helped draft legislation to create a National Institute for Information Policy and Research.  She has degrees from the University of California Santa Cruz (Literature) and the University of Washington (MLibr).
