2009 Eureka! Leadership Institute: Casey Marcarello

I work at the Paul A. Biane Library in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I am a Reference Librarian and I also coordinate large scale library programs, from the annual Big Read to special events to cultural arts nights. I also coordinate the promotion and marketing of these events, staffing, volunteers, logistics, as well as the overall lineup. Additionally, I am responsible for collection development for all the arts and music areas (including a special performing arts collection).

I wanted to attend Eureka to develop new skills and build effective networks so I can continue to move forward as a librarian and make a difference in my library and community.

I am married with two grown children (and we're planning my daughter's wedding in Nov.) I collect snow globes from my travels to exotic places (i.e. Sacramento, Minneapolis) and I love to play tennis!
