2010 Eureka! Leadership Institute: Anna Hartman
I am the children's librarian at the San Diego County Library – La Mesa Branch. In addition to reference work, I am responsible for programming for birth to 5th graders. I work extensively with the local schools and hospital to provide services needed for the community.
I first became interested in libraries during undergrad when I stumbled upon a job at the Social Work Library at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Prior to moving to San Diego, I worked as a clerk at two public libraries in Madison, WI while attending graduate school.
At the Eureka! Leadership Institute I would like to learn what it means to be a leader and gain these skills for myself.
On weekends my husband, two sons, and I explore our neighborhood, mostly visiting playgrounds and coffee shops. I have recently learned the joy of sewing and crocheting, especially making little gifts for my kids.
